Successful Satellite Testing

At Zero 2 Infinity we are very happy to have successfully tested Aistech’s first satellite in Near Space. Aistech’s nanosatellite network will soon be getting valuable information from Earth, particularly in the Infrared Spectrum.

At Zero 2 Infinity we can affordably test satellite components and complete satellites in space-like conditions. We flew Aistechsat 1 on our Sub-Orbital platform, on May 20th 2016. Our client could test their satellite’s on-board computer, energy systems and communications systems. The nanosatellite reached an altitude of 27,946m and was safely recovered.

We are looking forward to another test flight with Aistech, scheduled for September 2016, due to the successful and insightful results obtained from the first one.

ILA Berlin Air Show 2016

The ILA Business Days 2016 took place in the Berlin ExpoCenter Airport (Schönefeld) the past 1st-3rd of June 2016 in the context of the Aerospace Exhibition ILA Berlin Air Show 2016, where more than 270 participants from 32 countries gathered together.

ILA Business Days is designed to get up-to-date on current topics of the aviation and space sector, get in contact with high-technology small and medium sized corporations, and initiate future cooperation with international specialists from the business. Since the ILA business conference is aimed towards promoting joint ventures in business, technology and research, some special business sessions on future developments and trends within the aviation industry were held.

We were delighted to be invited to take part in the Start Up Day, where our founder and CEO, José Mariano López-Urdiales gave a talk about our new project “Bloostar”, a dedicated nano satellite launcher.

After this first participation in ILA Business Days we bring back to our headquarters news, knowledge and contacts. The ILA Business Days 2016 was not only a networking success but also gave Zero 2 Infinity the opportunity to meet potential new partners as well as to reconnect with existing ones.

Jerusalem, Israel, October 12-16: zero2infinity, represented by José Mariano Lopez Urdiales, Dimitris Bountolos, Michael Lopez-Alegria and Guillaume Girard will officially launch bloostar publicly during a press conference at the GNF, on thursday 15th october, at 16:45. Two papers will also be presented in sessions: B3.2 and D2.7.

Michael López-Alegría Joins Bloostar

After raising about €3M over the past 6 years since its founding. and adding Spanish-American NASA Astronaut Michael Lopez Alegria as senior advisor in May 2015, we have closed a round of investment specifically dedicated to bloostar, and are very happy to welcome the new investors on board.

Rocket engine test

Test version of the pressure-fed light hydrocarbon/oxygen engine was first fired in Spain in September 2014, with satisfactory results. The engine was ignited several times and the cooling system functioned well.

Bloostar tank test

Preliminary testing of the system has already started. In September 2013, an inflatable flexible pressurized vehicle flew to 27km under a balloon. This technology will be used for the lightweight tanks of the launcher.
